1) Send at the right time

Timing can be a key factor in the success of text campaigns. Since your customers and your business are unique, you should run some tests: send at different times and on different days, and track the response. You might find that your audience engages more at 10am, or loves a 7pm ping about your next-day promotion.

Note: you should not send messages before 9am or after 9pm in your local timezone.
